As part of this journey, you'll contribute to the launch of a new Tech Hub in Porto, helping to drive innovative, technology-led solutions that are transforming how businesses move while contributing to a more sustainable future.
YOUR ROLE Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable and resilient backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
Design and implement REST APIs and event-driven integrations, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
Take ownership of backend features throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and support.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and development teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions aligned with business needs.
Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and the adoption of engineering best practices.
Support cloud-native applications, focusing on system stability, observability, and continuous improvement.
Mentor team members and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
YOUR PROFILE 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
Proven experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.
Hands‐on experience with REST APIs and event‐driven architectures, preferably using Kafka.
Good understanding of software architecture principles, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
Hands‐on experience with cloud‐native technologies, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure Devops, Artifactory, Sonar Qube and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience building and operations applications in Microsoft Azure.
Strong understanding of automated testing with tools such as JUnit and comparable testing frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with a proactive and ownership‐driven mindset.
Strong English (international working environment).
