Greenfield Finance Shared Services Center (SSC) in Lisbon
to support its European and North American operations.
To drive the technological transformation of the General Ledger and Record-to-Report (R2R) area, we are not looking for a traditional accountant. We are looking for a
Process Architect . As the
R2R Business Process Owner , your primary focus will be the
SAP S/4HANA
system. You will act as the crucial bridge between the finance and IT teams, ensuring the system accurately reflects, supports, and optimizes business realities.
Your Mission
The Finance-IT Bridge:
Act as the vital link between Record-to-Report operational needs and technical execution, translating business requirements into functional specifications and evaluating the impact of implemented solutions.
End-to-End SAP Vision:
Analyze end-to-end process workflows, understanding the information lifecycle within SAP—from initial data entry to its final accounting and operational reflection.
Impact & Integration Management:
Critically assess the impact of customizations and specific developments across different SAP modules, understanding systemic interdependencies (how a transaction or change in one area affects others).
Structure & Architecture:
Ensure the coherence of Master Data, configurations, validations, interfaces, and automations, while identifying dependencies and mitigating potential risks.
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate seamlessly with internal business stakeholders, IT departments, and external partners to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous process optimization.
The Ideal Profile Your ability to understand the underlying "mechanics" and architecture of SAP is the most critical success factor for this role, outweighing deep traditional R2R operational execution.
SAP Technical Proficiency:
Robust, cross-functional experience with SAP architecture and operations. You must have a systemic vision and a deep understanding of module integrations (S/4HANA experience is highly preferred).
Process-Driven Mindset:
Strong analytical skills to map workflows, anticipate the technical impact of financial decisions, and analyze the processes behind every operation.
Hybrid Background:
Essential knowledge of Record-to-Report processes (General Ledger, Month-End Closing, Reconciliations, Financial Reporting), but with a clear focus on system optimization rather than operational execution.
Communication & Influence:
Excellent ability to communicate clearly with both technical developers and financial leadership.
Global Context:
Previous experience in multinational environments, Shared Services Centers (SSC), or SAP Functional Consulting (e.g., SAP FI/CO Consultant).
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory.
What We Offer
Salary Range:
€55,000 – €75,000 gross per year (depending on experience and SAP architecture proficiency), plus benefits.
