Machine Learning Engineer - Biometric Passport (Faro, Portugal)
Are you a skilled Machine Learning Engineer with a passion for developing cutting-edge technology?
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team in Faro, Portugal on a contract basis.
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining machine learning algorithms and models for our biometric passport system.
You will work closely with our development team to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the system.
The ideal candidate will have experience in machine learning, computer vision, and deep learning techniques.

Responsibilities
Design and implement machine learning algorithms and models for our biometric passport system.
Collaborate with our development team to integrate machine learning components into the overall system architecture.
Conduct experiments to improve the performance and accuracy of the system.
Analyze data and identify patterns to improve existing models.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning techniques and tools.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing or deployment.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Machine Learning Engineer.
Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, computer vision, and deep learning techniques.
Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R or Java.
Experience with popular machine learning libraries such as Tensor Flow, Py Torch or Keras.
Familiarity with data processing tools like SQL and No SQL databases.
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with biometric data or security systems is a plus.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure is preferred.
