Are you a book lover with a passion for organizing and sharing knowledge?
Our library in Lisbon is seeking a part-time Librarian to join our team.
In this role, you will assist with managing our collection, providing reference services, and engaging with our community.
Responsibilities Help manage the library's collection by cataloging and shelving books, ensuring they are organized and easy to find for patrons
Assist patrons with reference questions, finding materials, and using library resources
Plan and implement programs and events to engage the community and promote literacy
Keep up-to-date on new books and materials, making recommendations for purchase to enhance our collection
Maintain a welcoming environment by enforcing library policies and resolving any conflicts that may arise Requirements A degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred
Previous experience working in a library or similar setting is an asset
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
Knowledge of library systems and technology is a plus Working hours
This is a part-time position, offering 20 hours per week.
Working days will be from Monday to Friday.
Compensation
We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month.
