Private Tutor for English Language Learners in Lisbon, Portugal We are seeking a qualified and experienced Private Tutor to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to students in Lisbon, Portugal.
As a Private Tutor, you will be responsible for creating personalized lesson plans and providing one-on-one instruction to students of all ages and levels.
This is a part-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month.
Responsibilities
Conduct initial assessments to determine the student's language proficiency level and learning goals.
Develop customized lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
Provide engaging and interactive lessons that incorporate speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Prepare students for language proficiency exams if needed.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on student progress.
Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and student performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
Minimum of 2 years experience tutoring ESL students.
Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of current teaching methods and techniques for teaching English as a Second Language.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching certification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA).
Experience working with children or adults from different cultural backgrounds.
Proficiency in Portuguese or another language spoken by your students.
