ABOUT DATAMENTORS Datamentors is a robotics start-up building an agnostic orchestration platform and a family of proprietary robots — quadruped, mobile upper-body and humanoid — assembled at our own factory in Caniçal, Madeira. We also develop custom Vision‑Language‑Action (VLA) models that give our robots natural‑language reasoning and autonomy, deployable across sectors from hospitality and healthcare to defence and logistics. With prototypes running and a clear path to 600 units per year, the engineers joining now will shape both the hardware and the intelligence behind Ardia for years to come.
ROLE OVERVIEW Put the robot together at the end of the line. We hire four final assembly technicians progressively as the quadruped, mobile platform, and humanoid enter production. You will be responsible for the last steps before a robot ships to a customer.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assemble structural, electronic, and sensor subsystems into finished Ardia robots
Follow assembly work instructions and flag discrepancies
Pack and prepare units for shipping
Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly procedures
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly (automotive, electronics manufacturing, aerospace, or similar)
Comfort working with both hand tools and precision assembly fixtures
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and record results accurately
Physical fitness for standing and lifting during shift work
Based in or willing to relocate to Caniçal, Madeira; EU work permit required
